Dr. Baudoin's teaching responsibilities include courses in Pest Management (pathology and weed science sections), Introductory Plant Pathology, Principles of Plant Disease Management, Diseases of Crop Plants, Epidemiology of Plant Diseases, Plant Pathogenic Fungi, and Principles of Biology.

His current research centers on biology and control of fungal diseases of grapes, with emphasis on fungicide resistance, Botrytis bunch rot, black rot, powdery and downy mildew, and sour rot. An additional area of research is the evaluation of weed pathogens for their potential for biological control of weeds. This has included collection and evaluation of pathogens of morningglories, cocklebur, yellow nutsedge, johnsongrass, kudzu, poison ivy, milkweed, hemp dogbane, and others. His past areas of research have included postharvest pathology, ornamental crop pathology, and the use of plant pathogens for biological control of weeds.

He received his Ph.D. from the University of California at Riverside in 1980 and his M.S. from Wageningen University for the Life Sciences in the Netherlands.
