Description
International agricultural and outreach education in both developed and developing countries. Skills formal and non-formal educators need in an international setting. Especially for educators and leaders in agriculture and Cooperative Extension.
Prerequisites and Co-requisites
Coursework in or basic working knowledge of educational theories.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of the course, students will be able to:
- Discuss the major concepts upon which international programs in agricultural Extension and education are based.
- Evaluate and apply relevant theoretical frameworks, including educational models and theories.
- Apply educational concepts and theories in international Extension programs.
- Describe how to serve developed and developing countries utilizing knowledge of agriculture and life sciences.
